Pair accused of trafficking meth, cocaine

Source:  Brandon Police Service Media Release On January 22nd, 2019, at 11:10am police stopped a vehicle in the 1600 block of Lorne Ave. Located inside the vehicle was approximately 4 ounces of meth (street value $17,850), 1 ounce of cocaine (street value $2,600), and a quantity of cash. Two of the occupants were also in possession of bear mace. The following people were charged accordingly: 44 year old male charged for Trafficking meth & Cocaine, Possession of Proceeds of Crime. Lodged at BCC for court on January 23rd, 2019. 19 year old female charged for trafficking meth & cocaine. Lodged at BCC for court on January 23rd, 2019. 17 year old male charged for possess a prohibited weapon. Released on a promise to appear for court on March 5th, 2019. 15 year old male charged for possess a prohibited weapon, carry concealed weapon. Released on a promise to appear for court on March 5th, 2019.

Woman charged with impaired driving after driving down wrong side of roadway, police say

Source:  Brandon Police Service Media Release On January 21st, 2019, police stopped a vehicle that was travelling on the wrong side of the roadway on 34th Street. A 35 year old woman was charged with Impaired Driving as well as Drive Over .08 and subsequently released on a PTA to appear in Brandon Court on January 31st, 2019.

Missing Youth Josh Beaulieu, missing since Dec 24th, 2018

Woman charged with aggravated assault

Source:  Brandon Police Service Media Release At 12:10 on Saturday, officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Baker Bay.  A female in the residence had asked a friend to call police as she was being assaulted by a male in the residence.  When officers attended, a male was located in the residence with a stab wound to his chest.  He was transported to BRHC and received treatment for a non-life threatening injury.  A 26 year old woman from Brandon was arrested and will appear in court on Sunday morning on a charge of Aggravated Assault.

Brandon male arrested allegedly in possession of a loaded, sawed off 20 gauge shotgun

Source:  Brandon Police Service Media Release At 2:00 pm on Saturday afternoon, a 911 caller reported a male in a residence on Cornell Bay who was intoxicated and had a gun in his possession.  Officers attended and located a female in the residence who was intoxicated and causing a disturbance. She was arrested for Breach of Peace and lodged to be released when sober.  When officers approached the residence, a man was observed at the side of the building with a shotgun in his hands.  The man was taken into custody and found to have a loaded, sawed off 20 gauge shotgun.  He had also severely damaged the interior of the residence and was breaching several conditions of a recognizance order.   The man, a 19 year old Brandon resident, was lodged at Brandon Correctional and will appear in court on Sunday on charges of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public, and Breach of Recognizance.
