Two youths charged after allegedly breaking into vehicles

Source:Brandon Police Service Media Release Just prior to 5:00 AM early Saturday morning police were alerted by citizens of several youth breaking into vehicles in the Balmoral Bay area. The youth ran from the area, however were apprehended by police a short distance away. A 15-year old male and a 17-year old male, both from Brandon, had in their possession property from the vehicles they had entered. One male will appear in court on December 11th and the other on December 4th to be charged with theft and trespassing.

Remembrance Day operating hours for City of Brandon

The City of Brandon wishes to advise that Brandon City Hall (410-9th Street), the City of Brandon Civic Services Complex (900 Richmond Avenue East), the A.R. McDiarmid Civic Complex (638 Princess Avenue), and the Parks Complex/Brandon Municipal Cemetery Office will all be closed on Monday, November 12th in observance of Remembrance Day, and will re-open for regular business hours on Tuesday, November 13th. The Eastview Landfill will be CLOSED on Sunday November 11th and Monday, November 12th in observance of Remembrance Day. The Eastview Landfill’s winter hours of operation can be found at http://www.brandon.ca/sanitation/landfill/landfill-overview. All Brandon Transit services will run on statutory holiday hours (9 a.m. to 7 p.m.) on Sunday, November 11th, and will run on regularly-scheduled hours on Monday, November 12th. The Brandon Transit Info Centre will be closed on Sunday, November 11th and Monday, November 12th. All Brandon Transit routes and scheduled can be found at http://www.brandontransit.ca/routes-schedules/regular-routes-schedules. Hours of operation at Brandon’s Community Sportsplex will not be impacted through the long weekend. Brandon man allegedly steals several items, flees prior to police arriving

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release On November 8th, a man stole several items from a store in the 1500 block of 18th St South.  He was confronted by staff but fled prior to police arriving.  He was identified at the time and on November 9th, he was located by police in a vehicle and arrested for the theft.  At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of a vehicle a knife and another weapon.  A 35 year old man from Brandon was charged and released to appear in court in January.

Brandon Police witness male stuffing stolen items into his pants

Source:  Brandon Police Service Media Release On early morning of November 9th, a subject was seen in the 1100 blk 22nd St holding a TV monitor and stuffing items into his pants. Upon seeing police the subject fled and a short foot pursuit took place. Police apprehended the subject and the items he had in his possession were confirmed stolen. He was lodged to appear in court on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Public Mischief, Breach of Probation, and FTA Court

BPS require assistance locating missing youth

Source:  Brandon Police Service Media Release The Brandon Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing youth. Taulia Houle, 16 years of age. Taulia has been missing since November 4th, 2018. She was last seen wearing a black Columbia jacket and sandals. She is described as Aboriginal, 5’3” (160 cm), 130 lbs (59 kg), slim build, fair complexion, dyed red hair, and brown eyes. Taulia’s current whereabouts is unknown at this time.
