BPS lay charges in two separate drunk driving incidents

At 3:14 am, a vehicle was stopped in the 1200 block of 18th St after it was observed driving slowly along the curb. The male driver, a 30 year old Brandon resident, showed signs of consuming alcohol and failed a roadside test. He then provided breath samples more then double the legal limit. He was lodged at Brandon Correctional Center and will be released for court in early April charged with Impaired Driving and Drive over 80 mg%
At 4:30 am, a vehicle was observed making a very wide turn at Willowdale Crescent and Ashgrove Boulevard. The vehicles registration was expired and the vehicle was stopped by police in the 2600 block of Victoria Ave. The female driver, a 33 year old from Virden, showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for impaired driving. She provided breath samples that exceeded the legal limit. She was released for court in early April charged with Impaired Driving, Driver over 80 mg%.
