Assault by Choking

On September 7, 2023, shortly after 10:00 am, police responded to a report of an assault at a residence.  The adult female victim received minor injuries after she was struck with a broom and choked by the 20-year-old male.  Before fleeing the residence, the male suspect broke her TV. The male was located and arrested at approximately 2:30 pm.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Mischief Under $5000, Assault with a Weapon, and Assault by Choking.

The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating this person who is: “WANTED BY POLICE”: Samuel Dawson ROSS FOR Sexual Assault. On March 10th, 2023, Samuel ROSS sexually assaulted a female at her residence. A warrant of arrest has been issued for Samuel ROSS as his whereabouts are unknown at this time. ***************** The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a Mischief to Property. On August 13th, 2023 it was reported that the windshield of a vehicle was smashed while parked in the 700 block of Princess Avenue. The suspect was captured on video surveillance and police are requesting assistance in identifying the suspect. U-Haul Smashes into Little Chief’s

A large U-Haul van crashed into the side of Little Chief's Place late on Wednesday night. According to people on scene the vehicle's accelerator got stuck and the U-Haul crashed into the building after plowing over a protective concrete pole. As the U-Haul was stuck on the pole, a saw was used to cut the base of the pole and free the truck. Thankfully no injuries according to people on scene. Little Chief's was the scene of another vehicle vs. building in June of 2022 when two men attempted to steal a bank machine, causing extensive damage to the building.

Male suspect reportedly strikes female victim, smashes windshield

On September 5, 2023, shortly before 4:00 pm, police responded to a report of an assault which occurred at a residence.  The investigation revealed that the 26-year-old male suspect struck an adult female victim and then smashed the front windshield of her vehicle.  He was located in the area of the residence hiding from police.  He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service to be released once sober to appear in court on November 16, 2023, on charges of Assault and Mischief Under $5000.

Brandon police charge man with second-degree murder

On September 2, 2023, at approximately 8:51 am, police received a report of a homicide at a residence in Highland Park Mobile Home Estates. Members attended to the residence and located a 63-year-old female, with serious injuries who was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police immediately arrested a male occupant of the residence, 42-year-old, Stephen TEETAERT of Brandon. He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and appeared in court on a charge of Second Degree Murder.
