Male suspect damages VLT at downtown hotel

On August 20th a male damaged a VLT in a downtown hotel.  Video surveillance was obtained and the male was identified.  The 29 year old male was arrested on August 26th for Mischief Under $5,000 and released with an Undertaking.  He is to appear in court on November 2nd.

SUV attempts to elude police with missing tire, travelling on rim

At 3:35 AM this morning, members were travelling westbound in the 700 block Princess Avenue when a white SUV turned onto the avenue and began travelling in the wrong direction, towards Police.  The SUV had a tire missing and was travelling on a rim. Police activated emergency equipment, but the SUV continued to drive, ultimately ending up in the ditch near 1st Street and PTH 110 intersection.  The 34 year-old female driver refused to exit the vehicle, showed signs of impairment, and provided a false name to Police.  The owner of the vehicle was contacted and confirmed that it had indeed been stolen just prior.  As a result, the accused is facing numerous charges, including: public mischief, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, driving while prohibited, and possession of property obtained by crime.

The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating this person who is “WANTED BY POLICE”: Madison YOUNG FOR Breach of Release Order. On August 12th, 2023, YOUNG breached her release order by not residing at the address directed by the courts. Young’s whereabouts are unknown at this time, please contact Brandon crime stoppers with any information. ***************** The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a Theft Under $5000.  On July 13th, 2023, an unknown male was captured on video surveillance entering a business located in the 1600 block of 18th Street. Numerous vehicles damaged throughout the night

On August 22, 2023, police received a report of numerous vehicles being damaged throughout the night. Several of these vehicles were located in the east end with others in the 600 block of Louise, 400 block of Park Avenue, 400 block of 6th Street, 1300 block of 10th Street, 300 block of 2nd Street, 800 block of 8th Street, and 1300 block of 3rd Street. Further investigation revealed that in all incidents a rock had been used to break the windows of vehicles parked on the street. A witness in the 1000 block of Russell Street reported seeing three kids on black bikes with orange rims wearing black hoodies throwing rocks at vehicles. Teen girl causes disturbance, spits on officer

On August 21, 2023, at approximately 6:30 pm, police responded to report of a disturbance in the 700 block of Brentwood Trailer Park. A 16-year-old female was removed from the residence. While being turned over to her guardian she spit on the police officer. She was arrested and later released to appear in court on October 31st, 2023, on a charge of Assault Peace Officer.
