JR Golf Lessons Brandon & Area

Beginning May 2016 Patrick Law (www.http://patricklawgolf.com) will be offering or involved in Junior Golf Programs at the Shilo Country Club,Deer Ridge Golf Course, Carberry Sandhills Golf Course, Glenboro Golf and Country Club and Taurus Golf. Patrick will be working with the five courses in Western Manitoba in growing junior golf by offering or being involved in teaching programs at each one.  Along with some fellow professionals and some young helpers they will be offering programs for kids aged 9+ where students can learn the basics and fundamentals of the game of golf.  All boys and girls are welcome.  All students will receive mini prizes throughout the session as well as a hot dog and drink at the final day windup. 2016 Friday Spring Junior Golf League

Golf Brandon will be holding a spring Junior Golf League on Friday nights starting April 29th . Each Friday night will begin with a 40 minute lesson followed by 9 holes of golf at the Northern Pines Golf Course. Start time each week is 4:10 for the lesson and 5:00 pm for the round of golf. Lessons will include etiquette, chipping, putting, pitching and the full swing. This fun league is open to both boys and girls aged 7-13 with previous golfing experience. Participants must be able to play on their own and follow the leagues rules and regulations. This will be a fun team league and everyone who signs up will be placed on one of 6 teams of 8 who will play against another team each week. All participants will receive a golf shirt personalized with a number of their choice and the league logo. Teams will be participating for prizes and points. Registration is restricted to the first 48 golfers who sign up and included with every registration is a 2016 Northern Pines Jr. Golf Membership. Cost is $260, plus GST. CWE Wrestling Returns To Brandon With All Ages Event

Canadian Wrestling's Elite management is very excited to announce that the demand has been answered and CWE will be returning to the Keystone City but this time with an all ages event the whole family can enjoy! When CWE originally inked a deal for its long 3 year plus overdue return to Brandon at Houston's Roadhouse minors were allowed in the facility accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately changes to their licensing just a week prior to the event changed that leaving many disappointed families and sad children who were unable to attend. That wrong has finally been turned into a right and on Thursday, May 26th when CWE returns to Brandon, Manitoba it will be at the Assiniboine Community College gymnasium where people of all ages can come out and enjoy a night of live professional wrestling action! This tour stop is apart of The Back To The Future Tour featuring Ring Of Honor TV stars Kazarian, Silas Young, Lio Rush, and all your favourite CWE stars! Powerlifting Competition Coming to Brandon

On April 2nd, 2016, Brandon's newest 24/7 training facility, Embark Fitness, will play host to the first ever sanctioned powerlifting competition to be held in Brandon, Manitoba. Officially named the Westman Embark Open, it has come to be affectionately known as “The Wheat Meet” amongst Manitoba lifters. The Wheat Meet will feature over thirty lifters from the Manitoba and Saskatchewan Powerlifting Associations, competing both in full powerlifting (Squat, Bench Press, Deadlift) and/or "Bench Press Only" flights. Embark Fitness gym owner, Carrie White, has generously offered Embark Fitness as the venue for this inaugural Westman event. Meet directors Amanda Moffitt and Mathew Bowen, both of Brandon, have been thrilled with the number of entrants and of the interest of the local Brandon community at large. Carrie, Matt and Amanda would like to welcome any and all interested lifters, coaches, fans, friends and family to the event. Feel free to come on down and cheer on the lifters as they experience the thrill of The Manitoba Powerlifting Association and Embark Fitness. The Bench Press Only flight begins at 11:00AM, with the full powerlifting meet to follow. See you then!
