Double Decker, Dominos, & The Dock claim rec hockey titles

The Wendy’s Winter Hockey League concluded their 2018/19 season with three exciting and highly competitive championship games.

Over in Division 1, the Double Decker Icemen (pictured above) received a late 3rd period goal from Brett Boshman to defeat B.O.B. Blazers by the score of 4-3.  The Icemen found themselves down by 3 goals half way through the game before storming back and scoring 4 of their own. Matt Rey, Paul Bonar and Brett Hesselwood also scored for the Icemen. Brett Kitt, Brad McDonald and Kyle Wells replied for the Blazers in a losing cause.

Sioux Valley Division 3 Champions

Sioux Valley/Dominos claimed the Division 3 title with a 5-2 win over Montana’s. Ronnie Vermette lead the way offensively for Dominos potting 2 goals. Jay Moosetail and Nathan Flett each picked up 3 points on the strength of 1 goal and 2 assists. Jason Taylor picked up the win in net for Sioux Valley. Ty Workman and Jenna Patterson scored for Montana’s.

 

The Dock on Princess Division 4 Champions 

William Howell, Austin Gamache, Jeremy Delong, and Travis Lund all scored for The Dock in their 4-3 win over Precision Toyota in the Division 4 final.  Jordan Hagemeister and Scott Rouire each added 2 assists for The Dock while Tanner Klemick made 23 saves in securing the win. Kelsey Fehr (2) and Richard Smith had the Precision Toyota goals.
