Drunk Female Stabs Brandon Cab Driver In the Face With a Pen
A local taxicab driver was stabbed in the face with a pen, by a 19-year old female, on Friday night in Brandon's west-end. Police say they received a complaint from a taxicab driver regarding an intoxicated fare, and while waiting on police to arrive, the fare grabbed a pen and stabbed the driver on the side of his face. According to police reports the driver then tried to leave his cab when the suspect climbed behind the wheel in an attempt to flee the scene. She drove a short distance before crashing into a snowbank, after seeing responding police. The victim was taken to BRHC by ambulance for treatment. The suspect was arrested on-scene for several offenses including Robbery with Violence and Impaired Driving, She refused to provide two breath samples and was also charged with Breach of Court Order as she was under a court order to abstain from consuming alcohol.
