Inmates Arrested Following Serious Assault at Brandon Correctional Centre

Aggravated Assault

On January 7^th 2026, Patrol Section entered into the investigation of a serious assault which occurred at the Brandon Correctional Center.  The victim, an inmate at BCC suffered severe injuries after being assaulted by other inmates while in custody.  On February 1^st, 2026, several suspects were arrested for aggravated assault.  They remain in the custody of MB Corrections awaiting their court date.

Fraud

On February 1^st, an adult suspect in a fraud investigation was identified, located and arrested on related charges.  This person was released to appear in court on April 9^th 2026.
