Killarney, Miniota-Elkhorn Crowned Champions
The Killarney Shamrocks have captured their 2nd consecutive Tiger Hills Hockey League Championship, after defeating the Carberry Plainsmen 2-0 on Friday evening. Clayton Heinrichs and Reid Gow scored for the Shamrocks, who defeated the Plainsmen three games to none in the championship final. Reid Gow won the Blaine Garvis Trophy as the leagues Playoff MVP.

Over in the North Central Hockey League, the Miniota-Elkhorn C-Hawks needed overtime in game 4 to defeat the Russell Rams 7-6. With the victory the C-Hawks claim the title by upending the Rams 3-1 in their best of 5 final.

The Norway House Sr. Senior North Stars won the inaugural Northwest Senior Hockey League (NWSHL) 2017. The Stars upended the Pequis Mohawks 3-0 in their best of 5 championship finals to advance.

All three teams will now advance to the Hockey Manitoba Provincial Senior A Championships in Winnipeg April 1-2 and April 7-9. .Killarney will be looking to defend their provincial title from last season. The first Sr. A Provincials tournament was held in 2013 with the Altona Maroons of the SEMHL taking home the championship. The Deloraine Royals were crowned provincial champions in 2014
