Machete used in robbery

At 11:30 pm, Monday night, a male attended the Brandon Police Service in a hysterical state bleeding profusely from one hand. The male reported that he had been attacked by two females a couple of blocks from the station and had been cut in the process. The male was transported to BRHC by BFES to have his injury treated. Police service members located the sight of the altercation in the 300 block of 10th Street and the weapon used, a machete, in the 400 block of 8th Street. A 24-year-old female from Sioux Valley, who matched the description of the suspect was also located in the area and arrested without incident. She is charged with aggravated assault and robbery with violence and will appear in court Tuesday morning. A second female, whose identity cannot yet be confirmed was also located and is being held in custody while members of the major crimes unit continue their investigation. More charges are pending.
