At 7:10 pm, Friday, police received a call of a male and female involved in a physical altercation in the 400 block of 17th Street. The male, a 27-year-old male from Rolling River, was observed hitting the female in the face with a suitcase resulting in visible injuries for which she was treated at BRHC. The male is the subject of a recognizance with the condition to abstain from alcohol and was visibly intoxicated. The male was arrested for assault causing bodily harm and breach of his recognizance and was lodged at the Brandon Correctional Center for court in the morning.
