Male suspect attempts to use counterfeit money, steals table

On July 4th at 11:36AM a manager of an establishment in the 700 block of Rosser Avenue notified police a male attended and tried to utilize a counterfeit $100 bill. When he was denied, the male stole a table from the establishment. Police were in the area and were flagged down. Police located the male nearby. Upon a search of his person, the counterfeit $100 bill was found along with a small quantity of heroin. The 34-year-old male was arrested and later released with a court date of September 9th, 2024.

Assault/ Theft/ Resisting Arrest

On July 4th police received a report of a male stealing items at an establishment in the 100 block of Victoria Avenue East. He ran out the door but tripped. Manager of the establishment advised male to leave the items and walk away, instead the male shoved the manager. The 32-year-old male was located and arrested by police. The male was currently under charge for an additional assault. He was lodged for court on July 5th, 2024.
