Male suspect charged with assault, Fraud use of debit card

On August 31^st, a male was assaulted in the 1400 block of Lorne Ave resulting in minor injuries. The suspect fled the scene prior to Police arrival but was located the following day. A 44yr old Brandon man has subsequently been charged with assault and will appear in Court in November.

Fraud Use of Debit Card

On June 19^th, Police received a fraud complaint where it was alleged that a male suspect fraudulently used the complainant’s bank card, after being given access to it, to purchase groceries on her behalf. The investigation revealed that over period of 8 months this male suspect used the card for personal purchases or cash withdrawals for a total of approximately $10,000. On September 1^st, the 45yr old male suspect was located, charged and will appear in Court in November.
