Travis Mealy & Dallas Drysdale will join head coach Curtis Brolund behind the bench of this year’s Brandon AAA U18 Wheat Kings. In a posting on the team’s Facebook page, Brolund stated “A key to the success of any hockey program is to have a coaching/management staff that is both knowledgeable and passionate about the game of hockey“. Brolund was named the team’s coach in May of this year.

Mealy spent several seasons in the QMJHL as a player. Upon completion on his junior career he went on to play University hockey in Canada with the University of Manitoba Bisons. Drysdale spent four seasons patrolling the blueline in the MJHL, splitting time between the Dauphin Kings and OCN Blizzard.

The Brandon AAA U18 Wheat Kings are coming off an incredible season in which they captured the league championship and attended Western Regionals in Tisdale Sk. Training camp opens Friday September 6th.
