Nothing but Gold
Wheat City ConnXion represented Skate Brandon at the 2023 Prairie Regional Synchronized Skating Championship in Yorkton, SK this weekend, winning gold in the Adult I category with a combined score of 74.58. The competition saw a total of 18 teams compete across age groups; 10 from Manitoba and 8 from Saskatchewan.
This was ConnXion’s first competition since February 2020, due to the pandemic. The team of 23 skaters come together to practice each week in Brandon, some traveling from other communities such as Carberry, Souris, Virden, Killarney, and Morris. Wheat City ConnXion is coached by Tammy McKay and looks forward to competing at the Skate Manitoba Provincial Championship in Portage la Prairie March 17-19th.
