Police Arrest Two After Armed Robbery Incident on Victoria Avenue

On 2025-10-03 at 1652 hrs, the loss prevention officer (lpo) to a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue reported to police that a female in the store was in possession of a handgun.  Police attended to the location within 2 minutes and without incident took into custody the female and male associate while they were exiting the business.  A search of the female’s purse resulted in the seizure of a replica revolver handgun, and a cannister of bear spray in the possession of the male.  Investigation revealed that the loss prevention officer had confronted the female inside the business earlier about the contents concealed in her purse, whereby she produced an imitation revolver handgun and displayed it to employee, resulting in the loss prevention officer feeling threatened and permitting the female to leave the business with the stolen merchandise.  The 19-year old female has been lodged to appear for court on 2025-10-04 for the charges of Armed Robbery and Possession of a Weapon.  The 26-year-old male has also been lodged for court on 2025-10-04 for the charges of Possession of a Weapon, Carry Concealed Weapon, Theft Under $5000, Failure to Comply with Release Order and Failure to Comply with Probation.
