Possession of Dangerous Weapon / Failure to Comply with Undertaking / Failure to Comply with Release Order X3 and Two Tickets

On September 10^th at 1:08PM police conducted a traffic stop on a taxi in the 800 block of 10^th Street. The two passengers, males aged 19 and 22, were not wearing their seatbelts and had open liquor in the vehicle. A search resulted in finding a large knife. Both males were arrested for Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and issued tickets for the seatbelt and open liquor offences. The 19-year-old was also on a Release Order not to possess weapons and had a reside clause that he was breaching. The 19-year-old was held in detention cells for court in the morning on September 11^th, 2024. The 22-year-old to be released once sober with a court date of October 31^st, 2024.
