Robbery/ Assault with a Weapon

 At 7:42 am, Police were called to a disturbance in the 100 block of 13th St. Once on scene, they arrested a 38-year-old male in relation to an incident from December 9th at a residence on Westaway Bay. The victim had reported attending to a residence and once inside the residence he was assaulted by two males. The accused struck the victim multiple times with a bottle prior to stealing the victims’ personal items including clothing and a phone. The suspect was arrested for robbery and assault with a weapon and was held in custody to appear in court in the morning.

Firearms Offenses

 At 10:49 am, Police attempted to arrest a suspect in the 800 block of Pacific Ave, and the suspect threw down a knife he had in his possession and fled on foot. Police began pursuing the suspect and witnessed him then toss a sawed-off double-barreled shotgun. A K9 track was initiated shortly after which led to a residence in the 900 block of Rosser Ave. The 36-year-old suspect was arrested a short time later and charged with possession of a firearm while prohibited, resisting arrest, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and carrying a concealed weapon. He was held in custody for court in the morning.

 13 other individuals were arrested for public intoxication, breach of peace and having outstanding warrants for arrest.
