On December 26th, 2024 at approximately 6:42 PM, a resident reported a guest was causing a disturbance by making threats and attempting to fight inside their residence. The unwanted guest left once the call was placed but was located by Police in the 200 block of Richmond Avenue. The 36 year old male was found to be highly intoxicated and as a result, was medically cleared and lodged in detention cells to be released when sober.

Robbery with Violence, Fail To Comply With Undertaking, Possess Weapon, Attempt Theft of Motor Vehicle

On December 26th, 2024 at approximately 8:39 PM, a resident in the 1500 block of 3rd street reported a fight in the driveway involving four individuals. It appeared to the resident that the physical altercation was between a taxi driver and their customers. One suspect attempted to take the taxi but was unable to do so successfully. The suspects managed to take a jacket from the driver which contained the vehicle key and cash before fleeing on foot.

The K9 unit initiated a track to a nearby residence where the involved suspects were arrested.

A 16 year old female was located wearing the stolen jacket which still contained the vehicle key. This female was charged with one count of Robbery with Violence and was released via Undertaking to her mother to appear for Court in February 2025.

An 18 year old female was arrested and a search incidental to arrest yielded a pocket knife and alcohol. The female was on conditions to abstain from alcohol and as a result, was charged with Robbery with Violence, Fail to Comply with Undertaking, Possess Weapon, and Attempt Theft of Motor Vehicle. The female was held in detention cells to appear for Court in the morning of December 27th, 2024.

A 23 year old male was charged with one count of Robbery with Violence and was held in detention cells due to their intoxication. The male will be released via Undertaking on December 27th, 2024 once sober to appear for Court in February 2025.

The fourth individual was found to have been a passenger in the taxi but had no involvement; they were subsequently released without charge.

All involved parties had some degree of minor physical injury due to the physical altercation but none required medical intervention.
