Suspect Flees Police, Arrested After Foot Chase

 On October 26th at 09:45 AM, Police observed a male subject walking in the 300 block 8^th St and recognized him from an incident from the previous day. The male was told he was being detained for an investigation, at which point he took off running. He was pursued on foot to the area of the 1000 Lorne Ave. The male ran into a residence in that area. Police gained permission to enter the home and located the accused within the residence. The 30-year-old male was arrested on the strength of two outstanding warrants. Once placed in the police cruiser the accused forcefully caused damage to the rear door of the police cruiser. In addition, the accused discarded a fanny pack while being pursued by officers which contained a cannister of bear spray. The accused was held in custody for the above noted charges, and he will attend Court on October 27th, 2025.
