Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 110 (Eastern Access) shortly before 2:00 on Thursday afternoon for a two-vehicle crash involving a rollover.

A pickup truck and an SUV collided in the intersection, which caused the pickup to roll, eventually ending up on its roof. A large amount of debris was strewn across the road as a result of the collision.

A Brandon Fire and Emergency Services Fire Captain confirmed that at least one person had to be extricated by firefighter/paramedics from the overturned truck, and at least one person was transported to hospital by their ambulance.

Brandon Fire and Emergency Services, Blue Hills RCMP, RM of Cornwallis Police, and Champion Towing responded to the scene. BFES Fire Captain said that the scene was left in the care of Blue Hills RCMP, and they continue to investigate.
