On January 28th, 2019, at 4:05pm, police were called to an apartment building in the 700’ block of Rosser Ave, as a 59 year old male had just been assaulted. Upon arrival police located the victim who had non-life threatening injuries to his upper body. While tending to the victim, the 34 year old male suspect opened his apartment door and challenged police with a fire extinguisher and a hatchet. Police deployed a taser and after a brief struggle, the suspect was taken into custody. He was lodged at BCC for court on January 29th, 2019.
