Taxi Fare Fraud Suspect Resists Arrest; Business Targeted in Overnight Break-In

Fraudulently Obtain Transportation / Resist Arrest

On April 2^nd at 1:52PM a police officer was flagged down while patrolling near the 200 block of 8^th Street by a Taxi driver who stated a female had failed to pay her fare. The 46-year-old female was arrested after resisting officer instructions and arrest. She was later released on an Undertaking with a court date of May 29^th, 2025.

Break and Enter

On April 3^rd at 12:58AM an alarm company reports a burglary alarm at a business in the 700 block of 10^th Street. The front door glass was broken and the culprit entered the store, stole the cash float and fled. Video footage was obtained. The suspect wore a black mask, black jacket, grey pants and was in possession of a hammer. This incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact BPS at 729-2345.
