New Charges: Theft Under $5000 / Breach of Release Order / Possession of Fentanyl

On August 15th a police officer noticed a wanted 28-year-old male in Aster Crescent. The male fled on his bike. After a brief foot chase, the male was arrested on an unendorsed warrant. A search of a backpack resulted in locating 2.08 grams of Fentanyl and two .22 rounds contrary to his previous Release conditions. The male was also a suspect in a theft that occurred on August 14th. The stolen item was found in his backpack. The male was arrested, charged accordingly, lodged, and will attend court this morning on August 16th, 2024.

Breach of Peace

On August 15th police were called to a business in the 700 block of 18th Street for a male that was outside causing a disturbance. Police attended and asked the male to leave however he refused to do and instead tried to fight police. He was taken into custody and lodged to prevent further disturbance. He will be released when calm.
