Two subjects charged for alleged possession of drugs for purpose of trafficking

Late Saturday evening at approximately 23:15 hrs, Police conducted a traffic stop in the 2400 block of Princess Ave, on a suspicious vehicle registered to a rental company. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested as part of a drug investigation. Police deployed one of their K9’s who indicated on a Controlled Drug and/or substance being in the centre console area of the vehicle. The search resulted in locating approximately $1200.00 in cash and over 40 circular pieces of blotter paper, consistent with how LSD or Ecstasy can be sold. Two subjects were arrested and charged with the Possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, as well as possessing the Proceeds of Crime. One of the males was also found to be bound by a Court ordered Recognizance with conditions not to attend the City of Brandon except for court purposes. Both males in their 30’s, from Edmonton, were held in custody at BCC pending a court appearance on Sunday afternoon
