Two youth suspects apprehended after items stolen from vehicles

On July 23^rd at 05:55 am Police were called to a residence on Kirkcaldy Drive for two unknown people attempting to gain entry. The incident was caught on the doorbell camera. Police also located five vehicles in the area that had been rummaged thru. While patrolling the area two individuals matching the description were observed and ran when they saw police. After a brief foot pursuit, a 12-year-old male and a 14-year-old male were apprehended. They were found with a backpack full of stolen property including identification and bank cards. The pair also had a machete and a pocketknife. They were both held for court on July 23^rd, 2024.
