Fire at Water Treatment Plant
On Tuesday night, Brandon Fire and Emergency Services responded to the city’s water treatment plant at the corner of 26th Street North and McDonald Ave for a fire.
Firefighter/Paramedics were seen working on the roof of the building, as well as some were seen entering the building. A fire hose, hand tools and chain saws were brought up to the roof via BFES’ ladder truck that was set up on the south side of the building.
Fire crews were on scene for approximately two hours. There’s no word on a cause of the fire, or damage estimate.
