Playoffs in the Manitoba Female Hockey League U18 AAA are now underway. The Brandon Wheat Kings and Yellowhead Chiefs are deadlocked at one game a piece in their best of 5 series. Game 3 in the series takes place in Shoal Lake on February 20, with game 4 back in Brandon (J&G Arena) on February 27.
The Brandon Marlins will be holding a 30th anniversary reunion on August 9, 2025. The day will include a golf tournament and a social. Stay tuned to bdnmb.ca for additional event information as it is released.
Brandon’s Reese Shutte recently committed to play NCAA D1 hockey at Union College starting in the 2027 season. Shutte presently plays for the Westman Wildcats in the Manitoba Female Hockey League U18 AAA.

WAMMA Brandon – Academy of Mixed Martial Arts will be hosting a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu SUBMISSION ONLY no gi Super Fight event on April 26, 2025 at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium.
Brandon’s Brad DeGraeve, a softball umpire, was recently elected to represent Manitoba at this year’s Canada Summer Games in St. John’s, NL in August!.
Registration for 13U/15U/18U AAA Marlins Tryouts is now open at brandonminorbaseball.ca. Tryouts are scheduled for April 13-15.
The regular season in the MB U18 AAA Hockey League concluded today. The Brandon Wheat Kings finished atop the league standings with 83 points, one more than the Winnipeg Wild. Saturday, the league announced a number of award winners for the 2024/25 season including Brandon Wheat Kings Travis Mealy taking home honors as the “Coach of the Year”. Aiden Lang was named the leagues top defenseman and was also named to the Second All Star Team. Wheat Kings teammate Jonah Lemoine found himself on the First All Star Team.
