The Brandon 9A1 Wheat Kings upended the St. James Canucks 5-2 to claim the Atom 9A1 championship at the annual Winnipeg Jets Challenge Cup in Winnipeg. Talon Scinocca lead the way offensively registering two goals and an assist in Thursday’s contest. Cohen Slobodian, Brayden Hamm, and Reid Nicol each chipped in with single markers for the Wheat Kings.
