The Brandon AAA U-18 Wheat Kings have hired 29 year-old Curtis Brolund as their new head coach for the upcoming 2019-2020 hockey season. Prior to coaching, Brolund played 2 seasons with the Brandon AAA U-18 program and 3 seasons with the MJHL’s OCN Blizzard.
His coaching resume includes one season as an assistant coach with the Blizzard (2011-2012) and parts of the last seven seasons as an assistant coach with the Brandon AAA U-18 Wheat Kings. This will be his first head coaching gig with the Brandon AAA U-18 Wheat King program. The search to hire a new head coach began on April 10, 2019.
