A 28-year old passenger of a vehicle tried to run from police, following a vehicle stop in the city’s north end of Brandon on Friday evening. Police say they knew the man had outstanding warrants of arrest, attempted to arrest and remove him from the vehicle, when he tried to make a break for it. According to a release the suspect was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. The man has a total of nine arrests for warrants including: Break and enter x 2, fail to appear in Court, mischief to property, public mischief and breach of Probation x 4.
