Break & Enter to Residential Garage:

On Friday morning Police received a complaint of a residential garage located in the 400blk-Dennis St. being broken into sometime between Jan. 17-19. The padlock on the door had been forced to gain entry. Nothing was reported stolen.

Theft Under $5000:

On Friday afternoon, a Loss Prevention Officer at a store located in the 900blk-Victoria Ave. apprehended a man for stealing $45 worth of meat. The 47yr old Brandon man was held in custody by police till sober and released to appear in court on March 20th.

Theft Under $5000:

On Friday evening, a Loss Prevention Officer at a store located in the 900blk-Victoria Ave. apprehended a woman for stealing $300 of merchandise. The 29yr old Brandon woman was released to appear in court on March 20th.

 




 

 

Impaired Drivers Arrested x 4

At 8:42PM, police conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle at 27th St. & Louise Ave. after learning the vehicle was being operated without any insurance. The driver, a 28yr. old Brandon man, exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested for driving while impaired. A check of his driver’s license showed it had expired and was not valid since 2011. He provided breath samples with readings close to 3 times the legal limit. He was charged with Drive While Impaired, Drive Over .08 and 2 HTA offences and was released to a sober relative to appear in court on January 26th.

At 11:38PM, police observed a vehicle driving in the 1000blk-18th St. in an erratic manner. The vehicle was stopped in the 2300blk Brandon Ave. The driver, a 23yr old Brandon woman, was suspected of being impaired. After failing the roadside Alcohol Screening Device, she was arrested for impaired driving. The woman refused to comply with providing breath samples for a breathalyzer analysis. She was held in custody till Saturday afternoon when she was released to appear in court on January 26th on charges of Impaired Driving and Refuse a Breathalzyer.

At 12:20AM, Police received a report of a vehicle being involved in a collision with 3 parked cars in the 2300blk-Princess Ave. with the suspect driver exiting the driven vehicle approx. a block away and walking away. A 43 yr. old Brandon woman was arrested nearby, and was identified as the driver of the suspect vehicle. She displayed signs of impairment and was arrested for impaired driving and provided breath samples with readings of close to twice the legal limit. The woman was held in custody till sober and was released on Saturday morning to appear in court on January 26th on charges of Drive While Impaired and Drive Over .08.

At 2:43AM, Police received a report from a motorist following what they thought to be an impaired driver at 13th St. and Victoria Ave. The vehicle was observed to be driving erratically by the witness, and at one point was driving in the wrong lane northbound on 10th St. The witness observed the suspect vehicle stop in the 1100blk-Princess Ave. and a man leave the vehicle and walk towards a residence in the 200blk-12th St. The witness continued to provide police with updated information which led to the arrest of the driver of the suspect vehicle, a 21yr. old Brandon man, in the 200blk-12th St. The man exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested for impaired driving. He provided breath samples with readings over the legal limit. He was released from custody to appear in court on January 26th on charges of Drive while Impaired and Drive Over .08.
