Grim Acres Halloween Haunt 2018: Face Your Fears

In 2015, you barely survived "The Awakening ". In 2016, you were terrified by "Beyond Darkness". 2017 was the year that awakened your senses and took you beyond madness. Now, in 2018 will you be able to truly Face Your Fears? 2018 will feature ALL NEW theme rooms and props!  The event is brought to you by Grim Acres Scare Away Cancer, with promotional considerations provided by Westman Communications Group.  Admission is free and donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will gladly be accepted at the door.  This years edition will feature "The Awakening" a 1400 sq ft, indoor three floor haunt, "Beyond Darkness" a 3000 sq foot indoor haunt, featuring several theme rooms, and "Carnevil", a 2800 sq ft indoor kid friendly kids carnival.  On Friday, Oct 26th, Kickin Axe Throwing Ltd will be on site for some Axe throwing fun for those over the age of 18.  Additional attractions include music, games, outdoor laser tag, a bouncy castle, outdoor yard features, props, a concession shack, two warming areas, and more. There will also be dance performance nightly, brought to you from the amazing students at Brandon School of Dance, on the Grim Acres Home Depot outdoor stage. Event dates: Oct 25-28th, 6-11pm. (No scare hour from 6-7pm).

Country music superstar in concert at The Great Western Roadhouse

Country music superstar Gord Bamford will be playing a show at The Great Western Roadhouse on Thursday, November the 15th.  The Australian-born and Alberta-raised music star has released 5 studio albums and 9 of his songs have charted on the Canadian Hot 100 chart. Rock the Rink, new concert announcement from the Keystone Centre

Brandon, MB (September 24, 2018) – The Keystone Centre and Performance Promotions unveiled plans today of a special “Rock the Rink” Social to be held in Westoba Place on Nov 2, 2018.   This general admission night of rock will feature Canadian rock legends Default, on their Farewell Tour, including original band members; Danny Craig, Dallas Smith, Jeremy Hora and Dave Benedict. They’ll be joined by Age of Days and local artists, Wreckin’ So, for a complete evening filled with rockin’ good times.   “This is going to be a big party,“ said Rob Waloschuk, Performance Promotions. “We’ve got some great bands – including one of your last chances to see Dallas Smith perform with his original rock band Default, on a Friday night in Westman – and we’ll keep the beverages flowing all night long.”   Tickets for this unique event go on sale to the public at 10AM, Friday, September 28, 2018 but watch for special VIP pre-sales on Thursday September 27, 2018. Hilarious one-man show coming to the Victoria Inn

Brandon & District Chapter LDAM Inc. is a non-profit organization who support and advocate for individuals with a learning disability and/or ADHD and their families in Brandon and area. This October (learning disabilities awareness month) their chapter is celebrating their 40th anniversary milestone!  To help celebrate they are thrilled to bring in comedian Rick Green (‘Bill’ on The Red Green Show) to perform his hilarious one-man show ADD & Loving it?! on October 25th.   The show takes place inside the Grand Salon of the Victoria Inn.  Dinner starts at 6:30 pm.  For more information click here.
