2019 Pool & Spray Park Schedule for Brandon

The City of Brandon Community Services Department and the YMCA of Brandon are pleased to offer the 2019 Community Outdoor Aquatics Program as follows: Beginning this Saturday, June weekend hours of operation (June 15th & 16th and June 22nd & 23rd) of 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. will be offered at Stanley Park Spray Park, Kin Park Spray Park, Westridge Spray Park and Rideau Park Spray Park. 7-day a week hours of operation will then commence on Saturday, June 28th, with hours of operation of 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through the month of July and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through the month of August. (Stat Holiday hours of 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.) Entry into all of Brandon’s spray parks are FREE! Meanwhile, finishing touches are still being put on the brand new spray park located at Valleyview Community Centre, with hours of operation to be announced soon!   The community can also look forward to the opening of the Kinsmen Pool (located at 411 Park Street) on Monday, June 17th. Admission fees at the pool are $3.50 per child, $5 per adult, and $11 for a family to a maximum of 5 people. Hours of operation at the Kinsmen Pool are: June: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays & 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends July & August: 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. (7 days a week) However, due to unforeseen issues that have arisen and out of an abundance of caution for public safety, the City of Brandon will NOT be opening the Kiwanis/YMCA/Keystone Pool (located at 13th Street and Southern Avenue) at this time. More information on the pool’s status will be released in the coming weeks.

Splish Splash Water Park Minnedosa opening soon

Splish Splash, Manitoba’s FIRST Floating Inflatable Waterpark in Minnedosa will open on June 22nd. The facility will remain open until Labor Day Weekend, the first weekend in September. The hours of operation are from 10am to 8pm daily. A grand opening weekend celebration will take place on June 29 & 30. For additional information, or pricing options, please click here.

We are building on our past successes and the 2019 Food Truck Warz will be the best ever. Organizers are once again excited with the lineup of food trucks scheduled to attend. Whether you enjoy decadent comfort food, savoury international dishes or tantalizing sweet treats, there will be something for everyone. A small sample of the different food you can expect to see at this year's event is listed below. Brandon’s third annual Food Truck Warz will take place September 13-15 this year at the Brandon Riverbank Discovery Centre.

Fun-Packed Manitoba Summer Fair Kicks Off Today

Enjoy five days of live entertainment, great fair food, & fun midway rides at The Manitoba Summer Fair, starting today at 4:00pm. The fair has been a standout event for Brandon dating all the way back to 1882. The five-day event includes a variety of outdoor and indoor activities for people of all ages including a demo derby, horse show, sideshow entertainment, and a beer garden. Annual Brandon Traveller’s Day Parade this Saturday

The annual Brandon Traveller’s Day Parade starts at at 11 am on Saturday, June the 8th.  The parade begins at the corner 6th Street and Rosser Avenue and makes its way through downtown, ending at the gates of the fair.  Annually, the parade attracts 65 – 75 entries and is free to the public to attend. The Brandon Travellers' Day Parade was established in 1955.
