Local salon changes name, rebrands

Brittany Perreaux & Jill Landry took over operation of Alieshia's Salon & Spa (120-9th street) on April 24, 2017. The duo have now rebranded and renamed the popular salon to make it their own and something they can stand behind. "Alieshia's Salon & Spa was an amazing place to begin, and we were happy to represent an already amazing business, but we are over the moon excited to make it our own with a name that we LOVE!" quoted Brittany & Jill. OAK+IVY represents their rustic and earthy vibe, and they wanted a name that stood behind what they are about and what their esthetic is in the salon. As part of the rebrand, they have also released a new website oakandivysalon.ca

Brandon auto dealer moving into new larger location

Lucky 7 Auto Sales, a local used auto dealer with in-house financing, will soon have a new address to call home. In business for two years now, the dealership decided it was time to relocate to a larger location (1625 Parker Blvd) to better serve their expanding client base. Management told bdnmb.ca that there are several advantages to moving into the bigger, brighter facility including a paved parking lot and a separate entrance for the service shop. There will be three service bays for their technicians and full vehicle auto-detailing will be available. The service shop will open May 1, 2019 and they will start selling vehicles out of the new address on June 1, 2019. Lucky 7 Auto Sales is currently located at 1740 18th Street North.

Chez Angela keeping it local

For James and Angela Chambers the owners of Chez Angela on 10th street the one important message they want to get across is this is a work in progress. James is the “front man” greeting people at the door and offering samples and keeping everything rolling online while Angela is preparing the menu and overseeing the 17 staff that make all their baking and food fresh on a daily basis. "If we don’t sell it within 24 – 36 hours we will donate it to Bear Clan, BU Students, or Helping Hands" said Chambers. Chez Angela has a really strong connection to the community and to local farmers that supply them with their ingredients. They hire local and buy local and take time to bake from scratch. If you follow them on Facebook they have their own spin on karaoke. James says "I pick a song from the ’80s or ’90s normally and boom we record it live in one take..we get approached in public for photos because people saw us on Facebook”. Creative marketing and brand awareness are alive and well in Brandon. Some of the video samples from Chez Angela staff and owners. But feedback is always vital to the growth of Chez Angela and comments and questions are always welcomed.
