All local Co-op associations are owned by their Members. Over the last five years our Co-op returned more than $31.7 Million in patronage allocations to Members who shop at our locations. This is money that goes back into our communities. That is, and will continue to be, a strength of the Co-operative Retailing System. Join us on Thursday, March 23rd from 5:00-7:00pm, at the Backyard on Aberdeen for a feel-good evening of giving! The goal for this event is to raise $10,000. All the money raised will be donated to the Women’s Resource Centre! The Women’s Resource Centre is a non-profit organization that provides a range of programs and services for women and their families in Southwestern Manitoba. While the organization is located in Brandon, Manitoba, they serve the entire Westman region. “This is an event created in partnership with the Brandon Area Community Foundation that not only brings the women of the community together for an evening of fellowship, but it also supports a great cause that is in dire need of assistance.  The Women’s Resource Centre has many programs that assist women affected by all manner of hardships and in recent years their resources have been stretched to the limit.  As such, we chose WRC as a worthy recipient of this reintroduction to the 100 Women Who Care initiative.  We anticipate that this event will be the first of many events to take place whether annually or more frequently and will be seeking feedback from the attendees regarding their preferences in that regard,” says Andrea Epp, Board Member of the Brandon Area Community Foundation. We ask that each woman who attends the event bring a donation of $50 - $100 (cash) to support the Women’s Resource Centre. We recognize that times have been challenging for some so please consider donating what is comfortable for you. Tickets are $10.00 (cash) and include entry to the event, a glass of wine, and a ballot for an amazing door prize.
