#ConnectingWestman Tour raised and donated over $13,000 to 4 local charities

Westman Communications Group (WCG) capped off this year's #ConnectingWestman Tour on a high note in Roblin, MB, last Thursday, September 8, 2022.   WCG has instituted its #ConnectingWestman Tour to run every summer for it to better connect with and give back to its communities. As it visited towns across Manitoba, the Tour held an open house for the community to have an opportunity to chat with our friendly staff and learn more about how WCG and its services can enrich their lives. At the heart of the Tour was the charity barbecue fundraising event that allowed the community to donate to their selected local charity.   The charity barbecue in Roblin was held at the parking lot of the local Co-op Food Store. It was warmly received by the generous community, which donated $1,527.50. WCG matched this with its dollar-for-dollar donation for a total of $3,055.00 going towards the Roblin Playgrounds Revitalization Project.   With the conclusion of the Roblin run, the #ConnectingWestman Tour raised and donated $13,042.70 to the four local charities of the communities it has visited. Prior to Roblin, the Tour also had stops in Minnedosa, Dauphin and Neepawa.   "We are pleased both with the generous support shown by the communities we visited and with the opportunity that WCG had to contribute to causes that are truly important to them," said Westman Communications Group Marketing Manager Courtney Baxter. "We are proud to support local and positively impact the communities we serve. Being able to go to different communities each year with the #ConnectingWestman Tour makes us feel more connected to our members, and the local fundraising causes that matter to them. We look forward to continuing this tradition for years to come."

WCG Gives Back to the Neepawa Community

Westman Communications Group (WCG) was with Neepawa, MB community, last Thursday, August 25, 2022, for its third stop of this year’s #ConnectingWestman Tour. A charity barbecue was held at the Neepawa Co-op Food Store to benefit the local non-profit organization, Cats TNR & Rescue. Through this event, the generous people of Neepawa came out and raised $2,017; WCG matched this with its dollar-for-dollar donation and turned over a total of $4,034 to Cats TNR & Rescue. “It was fantastic. The amount of people and money that came in was just phenomenal,” said Martha Bennett, Fundraising Manager of Cats TNR & Rescue. “We have roughly 70 cats and kittens, and this donation is going to go towards vet bills; believe me, we have lots of those, and they’re very high. Lots of cats and kittens need neutered and fed, so this money will be a big help towards that.” “As with the #ConnectingWestman Tour’s previous visits to our other communities, we are pleased with the turn-out here in Neepawa and the tremendous support they have shown to us and to their selected charity,” said Westman Communications Group Marketing Manager Courtney Baxter. “We raised and donated more than $4,000 for a good cause. This is a great opportunity for us to connect and give back to the community of Neepawa.” To keep up to date on the 2022 #ConnectingWestman Tour, follow WCG on social media or head to westmancom.com/connectingwestman-tour.
