If you like fresh Mexican food, we’ve got good news for you–popular chain BarBurrito is planning to open a location in Brandon based on signs displayed in the commercial storefront at 751 18th St. Renovations appear well underway in the unit, which is located in the same building that also houses Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters. The first BarBurrito opened in Toronto in 2005 and there is currently three locations in Winnipeg. The "fresh Mexican grill" menu includes tacos, burritos, quesadillas, bowls and sides. There is a number of proteins, toppings, tortillas and sauces to select from to customize your order.

New tanning salon “Tantopia”opens in Brandon

Melynda Ostrowski has spent several years planning and preparing to finally open a place of her own. Tantopia is now open at 138 - 10th Street (former location of Euphoria Hair and Nails). Melynda saw the location was available and thought the space was a perfect fit for her ideas. She said the search for a location was long and that she was always being sent in a different direction. Melynda told bdnmb.ca that she she has lived and worked downtown for years and felt a high end tanning salon was needed. OPA! of Greece restaurant to open in Brandon

OPA! of Greece continues their rapid expansion within Canada as the quick-service Greek restaurant is set to open a location in Brandon. The restaurant will be located at 1229-E Richmond Ave and is targeting opening in February of 2022. General Manager Cooper Hsu told bdnmb.ca the 1200 sq foot, locally owned establishment, will employ approximately ten people. OPA! of Greece opened its first location in Calgary in 1998 and they are best known for serving fresh and healthy Greek food, consisting of prepared salads, pita wraps, souvlaki plates, Opa Fries, and crispy fried calamari. Victoria Inn donates $6000 to the United Way Fire Relief fund

The rib dinner fundraiser held September 28th at the Victoria Inn sold out and we are very pleased to be able to donate $6000 to assist those affected by the recent tragedy. The Victoria Inn would like to thank everyone who supported our endeavor. There were many people who tried to participate and could not due to us being sold out and we are very happy to announce  another opportunity to support this cause.  We are launching a 2 night rib dinner promotion that will take place on Thursday, October 7th and Thursday October 14th where $5, from every full rack rib dinner purchased, will be donated to the United Way Fire Relief fund. The Victoria Inn is proud to do our part and continue to help our community.
