Male Suspect Arrested After Attempted Stabbing on Princess Avenue

On September 2, 2025, at approximately 1:33 PM, an employee from a business in the 700 block of Princess Avenue reported that two males had approached two individuals, and one of the suspects attempted to stab them. The two approached reached safety unharmed, and the suspects left the area. Video surveillance was available, and witness statements were collected. A short time later, the 26-year-old male suspect was located, arrested, and charged in relation to the incident. He was later released on an Undertaking with a court appearance scheduled for November 6, 2025.

Blue Hills RCMP investigate after pedestrian killed

On August 31, 2025, at approximately 3:15 am, Blue Hills RCMP received a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle on Road 107 West, in the RM of Cornwallis. Officers responded immediately and when they arrived, Emergency Medical Services and the local fire department were on scene treating a 17-year-old female that had been struck by a vehicle. She was later pronounced deceased on scene. The initial investigation revealed the female from Brandon, along with a 16-year-old male, were walking on Road 107 West after leaving a party in the area, when she was struck by a vehicle. The male was not injured. The driver of the vehicle, a 17-year-old male from Virden, was not physically injured and remained at the scene. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision. Blue Hills RCMP, with assistance of an RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist and the Criminal Collision Investigation Team, continue to investigate. *Blue Hills RCMP includes the areas of Brandon, Carberry and Souris. Two Men Face Charges After Late-Night Traffic Stop on Park Avenue

At 11:13 pm, a traffic stop was conducted in the 1900 block of Park Ave, with two male occupants in the vehicle. The 28-year-old passenger had been drinking and was breaching his condition not to consume alcohol. He was charged with breaching his undertaking and was released to appear in court at a later date. The other 29-year-old male was found to be in possession of brass knuckles and bear spray. He was charged with possessing a prohibited weapon, possession of a weapon x 2, Fail to comply with undertaking x 2, possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order. He was held in custody to appear in court.

Brandon Police Arrest Two in Weekend Incidents: Robbery Attempt with Weapons, Stolen Bike Recovered

Robbery while armed with an offensive weapon/Possess weapon/ Fail to comply with court order x2 At 11:55PM, Friday night, police attended a central Brandon address for a report of a robbery.  A female and her friends were approached by a male armed with a brick and a knife.  The male demanded money and their beer.  When the complainants said no, the male got angry and fled.  A description of the suspect and statements were provided to the police. A 26 y/o Brandon man was located in the area and arrested and held for Court. Possession of stolen property/Warrant of arrest At 7:32PM Friday night, an off-duty officer noticed a male on a bicycle that had been reported stolen from Sobeys on August 28th.  Police attended and located the male by the Keystone Centre.  A 33 y/o man was arrested and released later with a court date.  The bicycle was confirmed as the stolen one and returned to the owner.
