A special thanks as well to our hard working staff and board of directors. Thank you all for your support” says Jamie Thomas BRHC Foundation Board Chair. United Way of Brandon & District to host Week of Caring

The Brandon office is optimistic about being able to return to holding events again this year, adjusting accordingly to meet any pandemic restrictions. These will hopefully include a Goofy Golf tournament, three Summer Sports Markets, the Tools for School Program, the annual Holiday Tree auction and a revised Lip Sync Battle. The first is just two weeks away! United Way of Brandon & District “Week of Caring” starts with a day dedicated to SENIORS, with music and well wishes at care homes throughout Brandon… responsibly socially distant, of course! Tuesday sees a drive thru collection for personal hygiene items, socks and underwear. Be sure to drop something off at the Keystone Centre in the south parking lot. Wednesday is dedicated to Mental & Physical Health. Get ready for a virtual lunch hour session of sweat & well-being, with workouts led by Rocked Community Fitness & more! Thursday is all about kindness! We'll show some love to many who have supported the community and invite you to display a Random Act of Kindness. We could all use a little more love & kindness right now! The week wraps Friday with a day dedicated to doing projects for agencies and non-profit organizations. If you belong to one and have a project you need some volunteers for, request an application from the United Way off now. The deadline for submitting them is April 15th at noon. For more information and other United Way Brandon & District news, please contact their office at 204-571-8929. Emails can be sent to office@brandonuw.ca.
