On August 24th police received a call reporting a 55-year-old male had lost consciousness in a business in the 1500 block of 18th Street. While in medical distress a witness used his phone to try to contact a family member… however there were pictures of naked youth as his screen saver. The phone was turned over to the police. The male was taken by ambulance to Brandon Regional Health Centre and treated for his medical concerns. On September 25th police members attended to his residence to arrest him for Possession of Child Pornography. He was released on an Undertaking with conditions and a court date of December 8th, 2025.

Brandon Transit is pleased to offer TransCab, a supplementary transportation service designed for residents in parts of the city where regular bus routes are not available. Since its launch in 2019, TransCab has ensured areas of Brandon remain connected to public transit. TransCab offers a seamless connection to the Brandon Transit network by allowing riders to book a return trip directly from their homes to the designated TransCab bus stops. Transit riders may be picked up by a contracted cab company or by a Brandon Transit employee. There is no additional fare for using TransCab, and the service operates during regular Transit hours of operation. Once registered, riders can call the Dispatch Office and arrange for pickups at least one hour in advance. On September 21, 2025, at approximately 10:42 p.m., members of the Brandon Police Service conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of 10th Street. During the course of the investigation, officers located and seized approximately 7 grams of cocaine and $5,000 in Canadian currency. The cash is believed to be proceeds obtained through criminal activity. As a result, a 39-year-old male resident of Brandon and a 38-year-old female from Sioux Valley were arrested and jointly charged with the following offences: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Both individuals were released from custody on an Undertaking and are scheduled to appear in court on November 13, 2025.

On Saturday evening at approximately 8:30pm, police were conducting a walk-through of a licensed establishment in the 100 block of 5th street when a male known to police was spotted in violation of court issued Release Order. The 38-year-old male was arrested on four counts of Failing to comply with his release order and he was held in custody to appear before court in the morning.  On Saturday evening at approximately 9:00pm, police were called to a licensed establishment in the 1000 block of 18th street for a female causing a disturbance.  The 31-year-old female was arrested on two outstanding warrants for her arrest and a charge of Failing to comply with her probation order. She was later released to appear in court in November. Early Sunday morning, shortly after midnight, police were conducting a walk-through of a licensed establishment in the 900 block of Pacific Ave when a male known to police was spotted in violation of his court ordered Curfew. The 37-year-old male was arrested on two counts of Failing to comply with his release order.  He was later released to appear in court in December. While conducting the above-mentioned arrest in the 900 block of 18th St, officers also observed a female who was known to be a curfew order.  The female was arrested and found to be in possession of a concealed Machete.  The 23-year-old female was arrested on four counts of Failing to comply with her court issued Release Order and one charge of Possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose. She was held in custody to appear before court in the morning.

At 12:37 pm, a call was received from a business in the 1500 block of 18th St stating there were males trying to fight with security. Two youths entered the property with one wearing a face mask and when asked to remove it the subjects became upset and assaulted the security guard by punching him. The suspects were apprehended shortly after in the area of 22nd St and Ottawa Ave and were arrested. The 17-year-old was charged with assault and was arrested on an outstanding warrant for assault with a weapon and breach of probation and was held for court. The 15-year-old male was charged with assault and later released on an undertaking.
