Police seize Tazer, other weapons and meth during drug search

Shortly before 12:00 pm, members of the Organized Crime Section conducted a search of a residence in the 1000 block of 9th street following an investigation into suspected drug trafficking. Located within the residence was more than 5 grams of Methamphetamine, and packaging material. Police also seized weapons including a conducted energy weapon, multiple knives, machetes, Pellet guns and BB guns. The 36-year-old male resident was to abide by court ordered conditions not to possess any weapons. He was arrested and lodged at Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court today on charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Meth, Proceeds of Crime, Possess Prohibited Weapon, Possess Weapon Dangerous, and Breach of Recognizance.
