Police: Driver’s Alcohol Level 2x the Legal Limit

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release At approx. 1:00 PM Saturday afternoon police received a report of a highly intoxicated male driving away from the Liquor store located at 10th and Victoria.  Officers located the vehicle near 2nd and Victoria were a vehicle stop was conducted.  The driver, a 58-year-old Brandon male displayed signs of impairment and was arrested for impaired driving.  He provided samples of his breath with readings twice the legal limit. He was charged for impaired driving and driving while over .08 and then was released on a Promise to Appear in Court on April 11th, 2019.

Two charged after alleged crime spree spanning multiple communities

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release Shortly after 10:00 AM on Saturday Police were notified by Rivers Police that two male suspects had been in their community using what appeared to be a stolen credit card.  Rivers Police were able to provide a detailed description of the vehicle which had left prior to their arrival.  Within 15 mins the vehicle was located near 1st St and Braecrest Dr in Brandon and a vehicle stop was conducted.  The investigation revealed the two males inside, 25 and 20 years of age both of Brandon were responsible for a series of offences earlier in the day.  They had stolen the truck in Brandon, then gone to Kemnay were it appears they stole items from vehicles in that community and then gone on to Rivers were they used stolen credit cards.  The two males were arrested and lodged at the Brandon Correctional Centre and will appear in court this morning. They are charged with Theft of Vehicle, Possession of Property obtained by Crime x 3, Prohibited Driving and will also be subject to charge in Rivers for the fraudulent use of the credit card.

Source:Brandon Police Service Media Release On Friday morning, police were called because of the theft and fraudulent use of a credit card.  A 31-year-old Brandon male had stolen a credit card from a residence and had made several purchases at various stores in Brandon.  The male was located and has been arrested for the theft and fraudulent use of the card.

Two Brandon men sleeping inside stolen car get arrested

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release On April 4, 2019, at 7:09am police responded to a Break & Enter of a residence in the 500’ block of Louise Ave. Suspects had entered an unlocked door and stole numerous items including keys to the homeowner’s vehicle. At 07:28am the vehicle was located running on the lawn of an apartment building in the 700’ block of 9th Street with a 31 year old male and a 36 year old male asleep inside. Also inside the vehicle was property from the Break & Enter. Both men were intoxicated. The 31 year old was arrested for Break, Enter & Theft, Theft of Motor Vehicle, Theft Under $5000, as well as Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle while Impaired by Drug. He was lodged at BCC to be released once sober for court on April 11, 2019. The 36 year old man was arrested for Break, Enter & Theft, and Theft under $5000. He was also lodged at BCC to be released once sober for court on May 30, 2019
