Car stolen after it is left running outside Rosser Avenue business

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release On Saturday evening, Police received a report that a vehicle was stolen from the 900 Block of Rosser Avenue. The 2006 Ford Mustang car with Manitoba licence plate GUP 147 was left running while the owner entered into a business. The vehicle has yet to be recovered and the Police investigation continues.

Brandon Man Arrested for Dangerous Driving

Source:  Brandon Police Service Media Release A 24-year old Brandon man was arrested early Saturday morning after he failed to stop for police in the 1800 Block of McDonald Avenue.  Police followed and the man drove his vehicle into a ditch just outside of Brandon.  He will be charged with dangerous driving, flight from police and he was wanted on two arrest warrants.  He will appear in court later this morning.

Two-Vehicle Crash at 22nd St & Van Horne Ave

Around 4:00 on Friday afternoon, Brandon Fire and Emergency Services and Brandon Police Service responded to the intersection of 22nd St and Van Horne Ave for a two-vehicle crash. The crash involved a pickup truck and a small SUV, with the SUV ending up in a snowbank. A local resident said, "22nd St is a racetrack. Vehicles drive way too fast up and down this road for a residential street." Thankfully, it appeared that nobody was transported to hospital. Photo by: Liam Pattison Photography.

Bear spray used during robbery at a business in the 3300 blk of Victoria Avenue

Source: Brandon Police Service Media Release  On February 21st, 2019 at 5 am police attended to a complaint of a Robbery in progress where bear spray was used at a business in the 3300 blk of Victoria Avenue. A 23 year old man and an 17 year male youth both from Brandon were arrested after the Police Service Dog Unit tracked the pair to a residence in the 200 blk of McDairmid Drive. The clerk did require medical attention however he was treated and released. Both subjects will appear in Brandon Court on February 21st, 2019.

Police seeking public assistance to locate missing Brandon youth

Source:  Brandon Police Service Media Release UPDATE: Jaylen NEEPOSH was located by police and returned home. The Brandon Police Service is seeking any information into the whereabouts of a missing youth.  Jaylen NEEPOSH, age 14 was last seen on February 10th when she left her residence in the 600 block of 17th Street, Brandon.  She has not returned nor has she been heard from.  Jaylen is described as 5’5, 125 lbs, aboriginal in appearance with long straight black hair, which she usually wears in a ponytail.  She has brown eyes with black framed glasses.  Jaylen was last seen wearing a maroon winter coat, grey sweatpants and tan boots.  If anyone has information about Jaylen’s whereabouts, they are encouraged to contact the Brandon Police Service at 204-729-2345.
