The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating this person who is “WANTED BY POLICE”: Kyle BLACKSMITH FOR Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking & Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. On October 24th, 2024, Kyle BLACKSMITH was the subject of traffic stop. Investigation revealed BLACKSMITH to have a quantity of Methamphetamine and Canadian currency in his possession. BLCKSMITH was arrested, charged and released, however has failed to attend court. On January 1st, 2025, a male walked up to the front door of a property located in the 700 block of 9th Street and stole a delivered package that was on the step. On January 3rd at approximately 2:59AM police attended the Town Centre at 800 Rosser Avenue where they met with security due to an alarm going off and discovered that a window had been broken by the entrance. Upon a search of the building police located a male who had ripped off three sprinkler heads and had them on his person. Confirmation was made there was no fire. The intoxicated 21-year-old male was arrested and held in detention cells at Brandon Police Service. He will be released on an Undertaking once sober with a court date to be set in March.

In the very early morning hours of December 28th a male flagged down a Police Cruiser in the Cornell Bay area to report that he had had his vehicle stolen by three males.  The males had assaulted him before confining him in a nearby residence and stealing his vehicle.  During the course of the ensuing investigation, two of the suspects were identified.  On Saturday afternoon, one of the suspects was seen on foot in the area of the 400 block Maryland Avenue and was arrested for offences arising from this incident.  He was held in custody and appeared before the court earlier today.
