The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating this person who is WANTED BY POLICE: Robyn Marlena MERRICK FOR: Possession of a Weapon Mischief in Relation to Property Under $5000 Failure to Attend Court On June 10, 2025, Robyn MERRICK was involved in an incident in which she used a knife to damage a trampoline and several children’s toys that did not belong to her. MERRICK has since failed to attend court, and a warrant has been issued for her arrest. On November 1, 2025, at approximately 2:50 a.m., an individual took a parking sign from a nearby construction area and threw it through the window of a local business. The incident resulted in significant damage to the storefront. As winter approaches, the City of Brandon is introducing new communication tools and services to keep residents informed and streets safe during snow events. Residents have several options for monitoring snow clearing progress during a snow event. When a snow clearing operation commences, the City will share the proposed schedule on its news feed at brandon.ca/news, as well as on its Facebook and Instagram accounts. Daily updates will be provided at 2 p.m. throughout active snow clearing operations. Subscribe to email notifications at brandon.ca/subscribe and select: Street Maintenance for snow clearing updates Snow Route Parking Ban for parking ban alerts Sign up for text alerts at textme.brandon.ca to receive notifications when snow events begin and as crews move through city routes. Visit snowmap.brandon.ca to track snow clearing progress, including sidewalks and back lanes. Residents can also view the location of City-owned graders during an active snow clearing operation. Once crews have completed snow clearing operations in your area, any missed areas can be reported online at brandon.ca/report-an-issue. About Snow Clearing Operations Snowfall accumulation, snow density, humidity, fluctuating temperatures, wind velocity and direction, along with the time of year, all influence the City’s response to snow events. The City uses a priority-based system for street clearing, determined by street classification and traffic volume. Street clearing operations always begin with Priority 1A Route, which includes key streets, sidewalks, and walking paths to ensure safe and efficient mobility for all. In emergency situations, snow removal equipment may be redirected as necessary to support police, fire, or ambulance response vehicles. Parking Restrictions During Snow Clearing Operations The City has an established snow route parking ban, which is in effect annually from Nov. 15 to Mar. 31, between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m. After more than 5 cm of snow and/or winds that cause drifting on snow routes, the City’s Public Works Department may declare a parking restriction. Vehicles parked along designated snow routes during restrictions risk being ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense during a snow event. Designated Snow Routes: Rosser Ave.: 1st St. - 34th St.; and 1st St. E. - 13th St. E. Princess Ave.: 1st St. - 18th St.; 18th St. - Whillier Dr.; 1st St. E. - 13th St. E. Louise Ave.: 13th St. - 18th St. 9th St.: Pacific Ave. - Princess Ave. 10th St.: Pacific Ave. - Princess Ave. In addition to the designated snow routes, parking restrictions may be enforced in residential areas during snow clearing operations. Signs will be posted by 4 p.m. Please watch for No Parking signs in your neighbourhood. At approximately 1:20 a.m. on November 7th, 2025, police were called to a disturbance in the Westaway Bay area after reports of individuals banging on doors and looking through the window of a residence. It was said one individual was holding something suspicious. Upon arrival, officers detained a 20-year-old male for investigation. During a safety pat-down, officers located a replica pellet gun in his hoodie pocket. When informed of his arrest, the male attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended after a brief pursuit. The male was breaching two Release Order conditions — a curfew violation and a prohibition on possessing weapons. He was transported to BPS detention cells and is scheduled to appear in court in the morning on November 7th, 2025. A second individual, a 15-year-old male, was also located at the scene and was found in possession of a canister of bear spray. He was charged with Possession of a Weapon and released via Undertaking to a guardian. His court appearance is set for January 13th, 2026.

Immediate Roadside Prohibition On November 6th at 1:05 a.m. a vehicle stop was conducted in the 1000 block of Princess Avenue with a vehicle that was parked the wrong way. The 49-year-old male driver was found to be intoxicated and was issued a 30-day vehicle impoundment and a 90-day licence suspension. The male was also issued two traffic tickets – One way and failure to comply with licence restrictions. Mischief Under $5000 On November 5th an 18-year-old female attended BPS aware that police were looking for her regarding an incident which occurred on November 4th where she attended the residence of her ex and banged on his door with her hands and feet, breaking a window. She was arrested and later released on an Undertaking with a court date of January 8th, 2026.  

Stolen Scooter On November 3, 2025, at approximately 9:45 a.m., police received a report of a stolen Go Trax electric scooter from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. The scooter had been secured at the bike station, and when the owner returned from shopping, it was gone. This incident remains under investigation. Failure to Comply SOIRA On November 3rd at 5:30 p.m. a 45-year-old male attended Brandon Police Service as he believed there was paperwork for him. The male had a summons and a SOIRA Warrant. The male was served, the warrant was executed, and the SOIRA registry was completed. The male was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of December 1st, 2025.
