KFC Express will expand in Brandon to adding a location on the Trans Canada. The former Quiznos location at the Esso will soon be converted into a KFC Express. They expect to be open before August 1st. KFC has over 600 locations in Canada.

On June 12, 2023 at approximately 6:00 am, police responded with BFES to a residential fire in the 100 block of 8th street N.  There were no reported injuries, and the fire has been extinguished.  Police suspect the fire may have been started intentionally and continue to investigate. At 0442 hrs on Saturday morning, officers responded to a fight in progress in the 700 block of Louise Ave.  Before police arrived, a 911 caller reported one of the men fighting was injured and required an ambulance.  Officers located a male with serious injuries in the 700 block of Louise ave.  An ambulance attended and transported the victim to BRHC where he succumbed to his injuries. No one has been arrested at this point and the Major Crimes Section continues to investigate. The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating this person who is: “WANTED BY POLICE”: Dennis GREEN FOR Breach of Probation. Dennis GREEN breached his probation on April 15, 2023 by failing to report to the Provincial Director. Police have been unable to locate and arrest GREEN, therefore a warrant of arrest has been issued for Dennis GREEN as his whereabouts are unknown at this time. CRIME OF THE WEEK for June 9th, 2023 The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a Theft. On May 29th, 2023, at approximately 4:30 P.M. a male and female entered a business located in the 100 of Victoria Avenue East. The male and female proceeded to the fragrance section of the store where they stole over $4000 in fragrances. The male and female are believed to be travelling across Canada committing similar thefts.
