Update June 17, 2023 Shortly after 10:00am on June 16th family members of Vishay PATEL, 20 years old reported that he was missing.  He was last seen on a home video surveillance camera leaving his residence in a Grey, 2012 Honda Civic .  UPDATE:  The vehicle was located in the Home Depot parking lot in the evening of June 16th. A witness reported possibly seeing him walkiing from Home Deport towards the Discovery Center later in the evening last night.  Family and police are concerned for his safety.  Please call Brandon Police at (204) 729-2345 if located. The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing person. Vishay PATEL, (20) has not been seen or heard from since last evening, June 15, 2023. At approximately 11pm he left his residence in a 2012 Grey, 4 Door, Honda Civic with Manitoba License Plate GTS 985. Police and his family are concerned for his wellbeing. Vishay is described as having dark skin and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a dark coloured or black T-Shirt, black sweatpants, and new black running shoes with yellow inside of them. He is of East Indian descent. Crime Stoppers Wanted and Crime of the Week for Friday June 16, 2023

The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating this person who is: “WANTED BY POLICE”: Christopher CUTLIP FOR Fail to Comply with Release Order. On March 14, 2023, Christopher CUTLIP failed to comply with his release order that stated he was to live at a specific address and abide by a daily curfew. A warrant of arrest has been issued for Christopher CUTLIP as his whereabouts are unknown at this time. ************************************************************************ The Brandon Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a Robbery. On June 1st, 2023, at approximately 3:30 P.M. a male and female entered a business located in the 100 block of 5th Street. The male and female approached a customer and asked for money which he declined. The female and a male followed the victim out of the business and jumped him, stealing his money and product from he purchased from the business. RCMP update on fatal crash on Highway 1 near Carberry

In a media release, Manitoba RCMP said "On June 15, 2023, at approximately 11:40 am, Brandon RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 5. A semi-trailer was heading eastbound on Highway 1 and a bus carrying a number of senior citizens from Dauphin was headed southbound on Highway 5. The bus had already crossed the westbound lanes of Highway 1 and was crossing the eastbound lanes when it was struck by the semi. Immediately, it became apparent that this was a mass casualty situation and the RCMP deployed all available resources to the area which included, RCMP officers from across western Manitoba, Forensic Identification Services and a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist. At this time we can confirm there were 15 fatalities, and 10 people taken to hospital with various injuries. Major Crime Services has taken carriage of the investigation and is currently on scene. A family support centre has been set-up in Dauphin in the basement of the Lutheran Church at 2 Kirby Avenue East. We have officers there who can answer questions for families who are concerned. Families can also call the support centre at 204-647-5058. RCMP continue to investigate and will provide updates when possible."

KFC comes to the North Hill

KFC Express will expand in Brandon to adding a location on the Trans Canada. The former Quiznos location at the Esso will soon be converted into a KFC Express. They expect to be open before August 1st. KFC has over 600 locations in Canada.
