The Provincial Senior Championship will once again be crowned in 2022.  The format this year will have 2 rounds.  ROUND 1 is the semi-finals.  These series will be two-game total goals match-ups.  The winners of the semi-finals will move on to ROUND 2, which will be a 1-game Championship to be played at a neutral site. Three talented female hockey players from Brandon are about to embark on a hockey trip of a lifetime to Nashville to participate in the Cowgirl Shootout, a prestigious invite only tournament featuring the top 2007 born female players in North America. Haley Blaine, Madison Blaine, and Sydney Sass (2008) will compete as members of Team Manitoba All-Stars, a team coached by Olympic Silver Medalist Bailey Bram and her father Bill Bram. Nine teams in total will complete in the 2007 age group including teams from Alberta, Ontario, Michigan, Boston, and more. The majority of the games will be played at two of the Predators facilities (Ford Ice Antioch and Ford Ice Bellevue), with the tournament taking place April 21-24, 2022. The Westman Wildcats swept the best of 5 series against the Winnipeg Ice to claim the U18 Provincial AAA Female Hockey League for the 2021-22 season. In Friday's series clinching 5-2 win, Makenna Beard & Paige Kozak each scored twice. Madison Weber chipped in with one as well while Grace Glover made 26 saves to pick up the win. Glover was also named playoff MVP. The team now prepares for a matchup (best of three series) against the Saskatchewan U18 AAA Female Hockey League winner to see who advances to the 2022 Esso Cup in Alberta.
